kmG Hauling
Leading the Way in Responsible Waste Management

Brand image is everything in the waste management space. The age-old notion of associating the industry with old, run-down and dirty garbage trucks, trash containers and disposal companies is changing.

kmG Hauling is at forefront of this transformation. It is setting new benchmarks with its wide array of waste and recycling collection and disposal services. The founding principle behind the company is to develop a more strategic and environmentally effective method when dealing with all refuse matters.

Founder and president Hugo Garcia capitalized on the knowledge he acquired while working in the family business from the age of 15, learning waste management from the inside out. His focus on innovation and customer service brings a whole new concept and ideology to the space, redefining its perspective in the public eye. The name ‘kmG’ honors the family’s vast legacy in the industry, with the letters ‘k’ and ‘m’ representing the initials of Garcia’s children and ‘G’ denoting the family name.

“Our long-standing experience of over two decades and commitment to safety and environmental sustainability across various sectors has made us a prominent entity in the waste management industry,” says Garcia.

kmG Hauling extends its services to private, residential and commercial clients, as well as management and brokerage companies. It carries out regular waste collection through scheduled pickups for businesses, ensuring cleanliness and sanitation. Residential clients benefit from regular curbside pickup of household waste and recyclables. It efficiently manages construction and demolition debris in the industrial sector and provides solutions for bulk waste generated by the manufacturing process.

Continuous service enhancements and fleet upgrades enable it to stay ahead in the industry. Its trucks are custom-designed and painted with colors associated with particular causes–pink for breast cancer and gold for childhood cancer–to spread awareness. Converting them into mobile billboards with social messages, like appreciating troops, demonstrates its commitment to making a difference in the community.

Industry challenges like volatile fuel prices, rising landfill costs and stringent recycling regulations are addressed with adept strategies and customer-centric solutions. It works closely with clients to enhance on-site sorting practices and mitigate increased processing charges. Contamination issues are tackled by partnering with recycling centers. Pamphlets, flyers and brochures are also handed out to customers to educate them on acceptable recyclable materials. Its comprehensive outreach programs promote awareness of waste reduction.

“We continually review our expenses to adjust customer rates and compensate for additional charges,” says Daniela Duncan, vice president of sales.

It maximizes recycling efforts to reduce landfill use and conserve natural resources. Composting programs help turn organic waste into valuable compost for agriculture and landscaping. Non-recyclable waste is also converted into energy to decrease reliance on fossil fuels.

Adhering to operational guidelines and prioritizing safety is central to its operations. Employees are regularly trained on safe handling and disposal techniques, ensuring compliance with all local, state and federal regulations. Its advanced equipment and technology help enhance overall safety. A state-of-the-art mechanic shop featuring two bays dedicated to continuous fleet maintenance ensures optimal performance. It also specializes in the sale and purchase of new equipment and offers prompt repair services for customer-owned roll-off compactor machines, apartment-style compactors, receiver containers and vertical compactors. kmG Hauling also offers an effective odor-neutralizing system, Piian, for sale or rent as well.

Its unparalleled industry expertise is evidenced by numerous success stories. In one instance, a client approached it seeking guidance on complying with stringent DC waste removal, recycling and composting laws. Comprehensive support was provided through phone consultations and in-person meetings, outlining the necessary adjustments to achieve full compliance.

Agility is the hallmark of kmG Hauling. In one instance, a potential customer urgently required containers for a certificate of occupancy inspection. It swiftly delivered the containers on the same day, ensuring they were well-prepared for the inspection.

Prompt resolution and best-in-class services are guaranteed by its in-house team of skilled commercial driving license drivers, helpers, mechanics, customer service advocates and office administrative staff.

kmG Hauling continues to promote sustainable waste disposal practices locally among customers and reaches out to a national audience through social media. Driven by Garcia’s vision, it is redefining the industry through efficient and responsible waste management, benefiting both clients and the environment.
